Hyderabad, where three calendars run at once

Most cities we work in have one dominant worship calendar and others alongside it. Hyderabad has three that are each large enough to structure a year around. Telugu and English-speaking churches across the newer parts of the city, an enormous Muslim population concentrated in the Old City with a Ramadan season to match, and temple trusts running festivals on their own schedule entirely.

Ramadan here is the standout, and it is the clearest case anywhere in our coverage for installing rather than crewing. Thirty consecutive nights of Taraweeh is not a booking, it is a month, and paying for a crew each night is both the most expensive and the least reliable way to do it. A modest permanent setup that the masjid's own people start each evening costs less across the month and then covers Jumu'ah for the remaining eleven.

The church side skews towards larger, newer congregations with existing sound systems and volunteer media teams — closer in character to Bengaluru than to Kerala. That usually means the useful intervention is integration and training rather than a crew, and we would rather sell the smaller thing that works.

The practical note is distance. Hyderabad is a long way from Bengaluru, which makes weekly crewing hard to justify and makes installation, training and multi-day festival work the things genuinely worth the journey. We will be straightforward about which category your job falls into.
