The Best Wireless Video Systems in India (2026)

18 August 2026 · Surumi Sulaiman

Wireless video is the most tempting purchase in live production and the one most likely to embarrass you. It removes the cable run that was going to take an hour to tape down, and in exchange it introduces a radio link into the one part of your rig that cannot drop out.

In India it also introduces a regulatory question that almost no international guide mentions.

The bit nobody tells you: WPC and ETA

Any wireless device sold in India needs approval from the Wireless Planning & Coordination wing of the Ministry of Communications. For equipment operating in the de-licensed bands — 2.4–2.4835 GHz and 5.825–5.875 GHz, which is where essentially all camera-to-monitor video links live — no operating licence is required, but the equipment still needs ETA (Equipment Type Approval) to be legally imported and sold.

Why this matters to you and not to a reviewer in California:

  • A grey-imported transmitter may have no ETA covering it. Non-compliant wireless equipment can be seized by Indian authorities at import.
  • If you are shipping kit in and out for a job — an event in another city, a client flying you somewhere — undocumented radio gear is the kind of thing that gets held up.
  • Buying through an authorised Indian channel means somebody else has already dealt with this. That is a large part of what the price difference buys.

This is not a reason to avoid wireless video. It is a reason not to buy it grey.

How we judge a wireless link

Latency, honestly stated. Sub-frame claims are marketing. What you need is latency low enough that a camera operator can follow action on a monitor, and consistent enough that a switcher's audio stays in sync.

Range in a real room — not the line-of-sight number on the box. A hall full of bodies, an LED wall, and two hundred phones hunting for wi-fi is a hostile RF environment, and the advertised figure assumes none of that.

Band flexibility. Dual-band (2.4 + 5 GHz) matters in India specifically because venue wi-fi will be sitting on top of you.

How many receivers. Being able to feed the director's monitor and the operator's monitor from one transmitter is often the actual requirement.

Power. Anything running off camera batteries is another battery to manage.

The picks

System Best for Bands India price
Accsoon CineView HE Budget monitoring 2.4 + 5 GHz ~₹26 k
Hollyland Pyro H General-purpose HDMI link 2.4 + 5 GHz ~₹29 k
Accsoon CineView SE Multi-device monitoring 2.4 + 5 GHz ~₹28 k

Budget monitoring — Accsoon CineView HE

Dual-band HDMI transmission to as many as four devices, including phones and tablets over the Accsoon app. For a director who wants a monitor and a client who wants to watch on an iPad, that is the whole brief solved cheaply.

It is a monitoring link, not a programme link. Do not put it between a camera and the switcher on a job that matters.

General-purpose — Hollyland Pyro H

Hollyland has the broadest presence of the wireless-video brands in India, which in this category counts for a great deal — the failure mode you care about is "can I get a replacement before Friday", not a spec-sheet difference.

Multi-device — Accsoon CineView SE

The step up when several people need the same feed and you want a little more margin on range.

What we would actually buy

Monitoring only — director's monitor, client village. An Accsoon CineView HE, and no anxiety about it.

A programme feed that has to be wireless. Reconsider. If it genuinely must be wireless, budget for a professional link, test it in the actual room, and run a cabled backup path anyway.

A roaming camera at a conference. Wireless for the operator's freedom, cabled for anything cut live. Almost every failure we have seen came from putting a live programme feed on a radio in a crowded hall.

Before you buy: an India checklist

  • Buy through an authorised Indian channel and keep the paperwork — ETA compliance is the seller's problem only if you bought it properly.
  • Test in the actual venue, on the actual day's RF conditions, before doors open.
  • Never put an unrepeatable programme feed on a wireless link without a cabled fallback.
  • Check what the venue's own wi-fi is sitting on, and pick the other band.
